About Department

The Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) Department provides the following facilities:

• WEBINAR (on-line talks by the experts including overseas experts)
• Virtual Lab (Infrastructure and software to conduct experiments in association with labs of IIT's.)

ECE Department provides facilities to the students to design and conduct experiments, as well as involve them in the research projects. Some of the important Projects undertaken by our students of ECE department are:

• Fire Fighting Robot
• Digital Display Board
• Heart Beat Monitor
• GSM Controlled Door Latch Opener with Security Autodial
• Mobile Controlled Robot

The Department has highly equipped laboratories with latest technologies covering various fields of Electronics & Communication Engineering: Electronic Workshop, PCB Lab. Analog Electronics Lab., Linear Integrated Circuit Lab., Digital Electronics Lab., Antenna & Wire-less Lab., Micro-wave Lab., Micro-Processer Lab., DSP Lab., Communication Lab., System Design Lab., Digital System Design Lab, RF Simulation Lab., and Robotics Project Lab.

The Department has highly qualified faculty. The Department has been making proactive efforts to upgrade the knowledge and skills of its students beyond curriculum aspects as well. Special efforts are made for the all-round personality development of the students. The department organizes guest lecturers by inviting its well placed Alumni as well as experts from industry and other academic institutions to address the students. Such interaction also encourages our students to participate in National/ International Conferences, Workshops, Seminars and Symposiums.

The Department has IETE-SLBS Student Forum.

The Department offers a full time Masters Degree in VLSI and Embedded System design.
